For the first time EVER I didn’t pull the trigger.

I had in my basket some Louboutin Simple ($474, decent price, but nothing spectacular) and I thought about it way too long. Meaning, probably like 2 minutes. When I went back into my shopping cart, twas gone! Oh well. I’m glad they were sold to someone who probably really wanted them. I am truly impressed at myself for not buying impulsively like I used to. I haven’t bought a new pair of shoes since… Feb? March? Something like that.

In a post some time ago I mentioned buying some CLs on a whim (which is very unlike me!) at NM. So finally I had the chance to take some pics of these beauties. Enjoy!

So I kept telling myself that these shoes would be my “wedding shoes” but it looks like that’s not going to happen anymore. Long story short, I became a two-dress bride– I fell in love with another dress after I already purchased one. But it’s OK… or so I tell myself, since I got an amazing deal on the second dress (PLUS it’s a Vera Wang so that justifies everything) My *NEW* wedding dress is very simple, elegant, and flowy… can’t show pics here, b/c the DF might see :p Anyway, I need NEW shoes! I’m struggling… I can’t imagine what shoes would go with my new dress… ahhhhhh stressful!!

I’m debating whether to sell off these CLs… I really love them, they’re so beautiful. But I could probably use the cash to buy my real wedding shoes… decisions decisions.

I went to NM this past week after work, with the intent of NOT purchasing anything (of course this never happens). I just wanted to go check out the new Fall Balenciaga colors in person before I eventually ordered my next Bbag online. I went in expecting to fall in love with either the Tempete or the Raisin, but instead I found myself falling for the Pourpre!! It’s weird how colors never turn out the way they really are in pics. This whole time I thought Pourpre was a red, but it’s actually more of a magenta. It is the most beautiful color I’ve seen yet!

So I’ve decided my next Bbag is going to be a Giant City in Pourpre. *LOVE*

Okay, so what did I end up buying at NM? Not the City… But I ended up getting a pair of Louboutins. :p

This is the first time I’ve paid MSRP+absurd CA sales tax on a pair of Loubs, but this was one of those OMGIMUSTHAVETHOSESHOESRIGHTNOW moments, so I grabbed the last pair in my size (in the entire nation!!!)before I could change my mind.

This past weekend was very busy, so I’m glad it turned into a slow Monday today! We went to the Great American Food and Music festival (where we got to see Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay)! I can’t say we’ll make this an annual event we’ll attend (the lines were so incredibly long…. waited 2 hours to get lunch!) but it was an experience, and I’m glad I got to sneak in a few shots of Bobby:

On Sunday I went up to Davis for my brother’s graduation. I’m so happy he finally graduated! =*)

I get really scared of taking out my pure white Balenciaga purse! Knowing myself, it’s only a matter of time until I get an unpleasant stain on it (*knocks on wood*). So I don’t take out my BBag as much as I’d like. I never take it out when I wear jeans (dye stain) or any dark colored clothing. Which means I only take her out when I’m dressed in white, pink, or any other light spring-y colors!

It was so windy yesterday! I can’t believe we were experiencing 60mph winds! Thank goodness it was more calm today. I finally had the chance to try on my Max Mara blazer, as well as the new coat I received from Tulle:

So I decided to keep the CL Hai slingbacks. I was seriously considering returning them, but I figured that the toe cleavage does not bug me as much when I wear hosiery.

I really like the look of my new wool Tulle coat (on sale for $9.99, by the way!) It reminds me of something fashionable from the ’50s or ’60s. It’s a perfect spring coat too since it’s short and light, with 1/2 length sleeves. I bought one in pink too, which I may debut sometime soon.

Toe cleavage

I am still on the fence about this. When I first saw shoes that revealed toe cleavage a few years back, I was like GOOD GOD NO! THAT’S SO FUGLY!! I have come around since then… and I can now handle a little toe cleavage if it’s barely there. I don’t know if I’ll ever truly love that look, but my taste changes throughout time, so maybe. I think a lot has to do with the fact that I have butt ugly feet. My toes are short and fat, I call them my piglets. Toe cleavage can look really good on someone with small, narrow feet but definitely not mine!

I know that Christian Louboutin shoes are all about toe cleavage, but I was shocked when I received my slingbacks yesterday and tried them on. I think it’s a little bit too much for my taste. Maybe I got one size too small?

I feel like my piglets are going to FALL OUT of my shoes when I walk!!
